U.S. News ~ Poll: 52 percent in U.S. negative on Islam

NEW YORK, Sept. 20 (UPI) --

More than half of Americans hold an unfavorable view of Islam and say they consider it to be a religion that encourages violence, a poll indicates. 

Americans hold strongly positive views on Christianity but are less approving in their assessment of other religions, the Angus Reid Public Opinion poll has found.


In a survey of 1,024 adults, the poll found 83 percent generally have a favorable view of Christianity while 47 percent feel the same way about Judaism and 43 percent about Buddhism.


But 52 percent of respondents said they hold an unfavorable view of Islam, the poll found.


Asked about religion encouraging violence, 45 percent said they believe Islam encourages violence and 25 percent described it as a peaceful religion.


While 91 per cent of Americans say they have a good basic understanding of the teachings and beliefs of Christianity, less than half are knowledgeable about five other religions: Judaism 43 percent, Islam 34 percent, Buddhism 31 percent, Hinduism 22 percent and Sikhism 8 percent, the poll indicates.


The poll was conducted online on Sept 14 and 15 with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.

Imam Feisal Abdel Rauf claims that the

US Constitution is Sharia compliant...

Now let's examine a few laws of Sharia below to see if

Imam Rauf is truthful or a fraud:

1- Jihad defined as “to war against non-Muslims to establish the religion” is the duty of every Muslim and Muslim head of state (Caliph). Muslim Caliphs who refuse jihad are in violation of Sharia and unfit to rule.

2- A Caliph can hold office through seizure of power meaning through force.

3- A Caliph is exempt from being charged with serious crimes such as murder, adultery, robbery, theft, drinking and in some cases of rape.

4- A percentage of Zakat (alms) must go towards jihad.

5- It is obligatory to obey the commands of the Caliph, even if he is unjust.

6- A caliph must be a Muslim, a non-slave and a male.

7- The Muslim public must remove the Caliph in one case, if he rejects Islam.

8- A Muslim who leaves Islam must be killed immediately.

9- A Muslim will be forgiven for murder of : 1) an apostasy 2) an adulterer 3) a highway robber. Making vigilante street justice and honor killing acceptable.

10- A Muslim will not get the death penalty if he kills a non-Muslim.

11- Sharia never abolished slavery and sexual slavery and highly regulates it.

A master will not be punished for killing his slave.

12- Sharia dictates death by stoning, beheading, amputation of limbs, flogging and other forms of cruel and unusual punishments even for crimes of sin such as adultery.

13- Non-Muslims are not equal to Muslims and must comply to Sharia if they are to remain safe. They are forbidden to marry Muslim women, publicly display wine or pork, recite their scriptures or openly celebrate their religious holidays or funerals. They are forbidden from building new churches or building them higher than mosques. They may not enter a mosque without permission. A non-Muslim is no longer protected if he commits adultery with a Muslim woman or if he leads a Muslim away from Islam.

14- Homosexuality is punishable by death.

15-  It is a crime for a non-Muslim to sell weapons to someone who will use them against Muslims. Non-Muslims cannot curse a Muslim, say anything derogatory about Allah, the Prophet, or Islam, or expose the weak points of Muslims. However, the opposite is not true for Muslims.

16-  A non-Muslim cannot inherit from a Muslim.

17- No testimony in court is acceptable from people of low-level jobs, such as street sweepers or a bathhouse attendant. Women in such low level jobs such as professional funeral mourners cannot keep custody of their children in case of divorce.

18- A non-Muslim cannot rule even over a non-Muslims minority.

19- Banks must be Sharia compliant and interest is not allowed.

20- There is no age limit for marriage of girls under Sharia. The marriage contract can take place anytime after birth and consummated at age 8 or 9.

21- Rebelliousness on the part of the wife nullifies the husband’s obligation to support her, gives him permission to beat her and keep her from leaving the home.

22- Divorce is only in the hands of the husband and is as easy as saying: “I divorce you” and becomes effective even if the husband did not intend it.

23- There is no community property between husband and wife and the husband’s property does not automatically go to the wife after his death.

24- A woman inherits half what a man inherits.

25- A man has the right to have up to 4 wives and she has no right to divorce him even if he is polygamous.

26- The dowry is given in exchange for the woman’s sexual organs.

27- A man is allowed to have sex with slave women and women captured in battle, and if the enslaved woman is married her marriage is annulled.

28- The testimony of a woman in court is half the value of a man.

29- A woman looses custody if she remarries.

30- To prove rape, a woman must have 4 male witnesses.

31- A rapist may only be required to pay the bride-money

(dowry) without marrying the rape victim.

32- A Muslim woman must cover every inch of her body which is considered “Awrah,” a sexual organ. Some schools of Sharia allow the face and some don’t.

33- A Muslim man is forgiven if he kills his wife caught in the act of adultery. However, the opposite is not true for women since he “could be married to the woman he was caught with.

”The above are clear cut laws in Islam decided by great Imams after years of examination and interpretation of the Quran, Hadith and Mohammed’s life.

Now let the learned Imam Rauf tell us what part of the above is compliant with the US constitution?

Islam is a POLITICAL IDEOLOGY under THE GUISE OF a RELIGION!

Islam is an ideology that is less about faith than it is about governance. This combination of Western trappings and Islamic interior will doom the West because Islam is an ideology that is less about faith than it is about governance. Unlike their Western liberal patrons, Muslims do not recognize any distinction between church and state. Which means they are bent on imposing their religion on the state. Western liberals believe that most Muslims are moderate. Most Muslims, however, believe the remedy for all social political and moral ills lies in Islam.

A believing Muslim, whether Westerners consider him an extremist or a moderate, will believe Islam and he Koran have the solution to society’s ills. Social problems are caused by a lack of Islam. In his worldview, Muslim countries can only repair their problems through Islam. And non-Muslim countries in the Dar al Kufr (Realm of the Infidels), Dar Al Harb (Realm of the Sword) are bound to be even worse off because they don’t follow Islamic Law. Which ultimately means their only solution is Islam.

In such a scenario, Sharia is inevitable because, as Western liberals think of social reforms in terms of added government control, Muslims think of reform as added clerical control. This makes Muslims and Socialists seem like natural allies, at least for a time, because both confuse reform with centralization that takes individual liberties. Meanwhile, the Western liberal is deluded enough to think that any application of Sharia law will be moderate, when in fact it will be no such thing, as the Muslim understanding of the world is radically different than the Western understanding of the world.

Terrorism That’s Personal

Acid attacks and wife burnings are common in parts of Asia because the victims are the most voiceless in these societies. Naeema Azar, above, was attacked by her husband after they divorced. Her 12-year-old son, Ahmed Shah, looks after her.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan

Terrorism in this part of the world usually means bombs exploding or hotels burning, as the latest horrific scenes from Mumbai attest. Yet alongside the brutal public terrorism that fills the television screens, there is an equally cruel form of terrorism that gets almost no attention and thrives as a result: flinging acid on a woman’s face to leave her hideously deformed.

Here in Pakistan, I’ve been investigating such acid attacks, which are commonly used to terrorize and subjugate women and girls in a swath of Asia from Afghanistan through Cambodia (men are almost never attacked with acid). Because women usually don’t matter in this part of the world, their attackers are rarely prosecuted and acid sales are usually not controlled. It’s a kind of terrorism that becomes accepted as part of the background noise in the region.

This month in Afghanistan, men on motorcycles threw acid on a group of girls who dared to attend school. One of the girls, a 17-year-old named Shamsia, told reporters from her hospital bed: “I will go to my school even if they kill me. My message for the enemies is that if they do this 100 times, I am still going to continue my studies.”

Naeema Azar as she normally presents herself, to avoid shocking people.

When I met Naeema Azar, a Pakistani woman who had once been an attractive, self-confident real estate agent, she was wearing a black cloak that enveloped her head and face. Then she removed the covering, and I flinched.

Acid had burned away her left ear and most of her right ear. It had blinded her and burned away her eyelids and most of her face, leaving just bone.

Six skin grafts with flesh from her leg have helped, but she still cannot close her eyes or her mouth; she will not eat in front of others because it is too humiliating to have food slip out as she chews.

“Look at Naeema, she has lost her eyes,” sighed Shahnaz Bukhari, a Pakistani activist who founded an organization to help such women, and who was beginning to tear up. “She makes me cry every time she comes in front of me.”

Ms. Azar had earned a good income and was supporting her three small children when she decided to divorce her husband, Azar Jamsheed, a fruit seller who rarely brought money home. He agreed to end the (arranged) marriage because he had his eye on another woman.

After the divorce was final, Mr. Jamsheed came to say goodbye to the children, and then pulled out a bottle and poured acid on his wife’s face, according to her account and that of their son.

“I screamed,” Ms. Azar recalled. “The flesh of my cheeks was falling off. The bones on my face were showing, and all of my skin was falling off.”

Neighbors came running, as smoke rose from her burning flesh and she ran about blindly, crashing into walls. Mr. Jamsheed was never arrested, and he has since disappeared. (I couldn’t reach him for his side of the story.)

Ms. Azar has survived on the charity of friends and with support from Ms. Bukhari’s group, the Progressive Women’s Association (www.pwaisbd.org). Ms. Bukhari is raising money for a lawyer to push the police to prosecute Mr. Jamsheed, and to pay for eye surgery that — with a skilled surgeon — might be able to restore sight to one eye.

Bangladesh has imposed controls on acid sales to curb such attacks, but otherwise it is fairly easy in Asia to walk into a shop and buy sulfuric or hydrochloric acid suitable for destroying a human face.

Acid attacks and wife burnings are common in parts of Asia because the victims are the most voiceless in these societies: they are poor and female. The first step is simply for the world to take note, to give voice to these women.

Since 1994, Ms. Bukhari has documented 7,800 cases of women who were deliberately burned, scalded or subjected to acid attacks, just in the Islamabad area. In only 2 percent of those cases was anyone convicted.

For the last two years, Senators Joe Biden and Richard Lugar have co-sponsored an International Violence Against Women Act, which would adopt a range of measures to spotlight such brutality and nudge foreign governments to pay heed to it. Let’s hope that with Mr. Biden’s new influence the bill will pass in the next Congress.

That might help end the silence and culture of impunity surrounding this kind of terrorism.

The most haunting part of my visit with Ms. Azar, aside from seeing her face, was a remark by her 12-year-old son, Ahsan Shah, who lovingly leads her around everywhere. He told me that in one house where they stayed for a time after the attack, a man upstairs used to beat his wife every day and taunt her, saying: “You see the woman downstairs who was burned by her husband? I’ll burn you just the same way.”

Muslims demand Facebook adhere to Islamic/sharia law

A comment is being circulated on Facebook complaining that the site has not only allowed Islam-critical pages like "Everybody Draw Muhammad Day" to thrive but has also removed four major Muslim Facebook pages with a total of about 2.5 million members. This "chain email" is thus claiming that Facebook has taken a dramatic anti-Islam stance, and the comment is further demanding that the site restore the Islamic pages, make it illegal to criticize Islam, and remove all FB pages that are critical of Islam. In other words, it is demanding that Facebook follow Islamic or sharia law.

While the comment claims that these Islamic pages were not anti-infidel in sentiment, its demands certainly are, and they belie any possibly "peaceful" notion of why these pages should be allowed back on Facebook.

Supporters of free speech are calling for this Islamist comment be searched out on FB and flagged in a show of support for Facebook's creators not to kowtow to censorship and to demonstrate that the non-Muslim world will not be subjugated under Islamic or sharia law. 

Here is the comment:

Facebook Admins, Moderators, Mark Zuckerberg, Dustin Moskovitz, Sheryl Sandberg, and Matt Cohler;

Although you have attended the world's best communication skills courses you have been most successful in growing great hatred and hostility between you and Muslims around the world, but seriously this time you have caused an almost unrepairable damage.

Only a few weeks after your irresponsible behavior during the Everybody Draw Mohammed Day events you most aggressively removed four of the largest Islamic Facebook Pages of total fans/likes over 2.5 million Facebook members. That happened on the morning of Thursday 8th July, 2010.

These four Facebook pages were totally peaceful and free of any hate speech, but you removed it ignoring the feelings of more than 2.5 Million Facebook Muslims and disrespecting over 1.5 Billion Muslims worldwide.

And now since that is what it had come down to you, with your irresponsibility and fake preach of freedom of speech, have left us no other choice other than permanently boycotting Facebook. The Obama administration has acknowledged its continuing a Bush-era policy authorizing the killing of U.S. citizens abroad who are SUSPECTED of being a terrorist, in total violation of his Oath of Office to protect the Constitution of the United States and the right of citizens (*5th Amendment) to a trial when accused of a crime.

(* "No person... shall be deprived of life, liberty or property without due process of law"...)

The act of assassination is obviously much worse than public outcries against unlawful detention or torture.

The confirmation came from Director National of Intelligence Dennis Blair in Congressional testimony last week. Blair said: Being a U.S. citizen will not spare an American from getting assassinated by military or intelligence operatives overseas if the individual is working with terrorists and planning to attack fellow Americans.

Rep. Dennis Kucinich said it is not much of a stretch, in that terrorist cells have been said to be working within the United States, to expect the administration to conduct these assassinations of citizens in our country. Furthermore it is also conceivable that anyone SUSPECTED of being or acting with a administration designated terrorist organization to be murdered while sleeping or taken from their home in the middle of the night and assassinated.

This is especially worrysome considering the recent Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) information.  MIAC is part of the federal Fusion Center effort now underway around the country.

Obama has joined the Bush policy of using the war on terror to violate the rights of American citizens.  The Missouri Information Analysis Center (MIAC) report in conjunction w/the Department of Homeland Security  has issued a report which specifically describes supporters of presidential candidates Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin, & Bob Barr as militia influenced terrorists and instructs the Missouri police to be on the lookout for supporters displaying bumper stickers and other paraphernalia associated with the Constitutional, Campaign for Liberty, and Libertarian parties.

The MIAC report does not concentrate on Muslim terrorists, but rather on the so-called militia movement and conflates it with supporters of legitimate Third Party candidates, Ron Paul, Chuck Baldwin, Bob Barr, the so-called patriot movement and other political activist organizations opposed to the North American Union and the New World Order.

Police are educated in the document that people who are anti-abortion, own gold, display an assortment of U.S. flags, or even those that talk about the film Zeitgeist, view the police as their enemy and conflates them with domestic terrorists like Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh, Olympic bomber Eric Rudolph and other domestic militia groups who have been charged with plotting terrorist attacks. CHICAGO — The Chicago City  Council on Friday approved what city officials say is the strictest handgun ordinance in the United States.

The 45-0 vote came four days after a Supreme Court ruling made it almost certain that Chicago's handgun ban would be overturned. The high court ruled Americans have a right to own a gun for self-defense anywhere they live.

The new city ordinance bans gun shops in Chicago and prohibits gun owners from stepping outside their homes, even onto their porches or garages, with a handgun. It will take effect in 10 days.

The ordinance also:

— Limits the number of handguns residents can register to one per month and prohibit residents from having more than one handgun in operating order at any given time.

— Requires residents in homes with children to keep them in lock boxes or equipped with trigger locks.

— Requires prospective gun owners to take a four-hour class and one-hour training at a gun range. They would have to leave the city for training because Chicago prohibits new gun ranges and limits the use of existing ranges to police officers. Those restrictions were similar to those in an ordinance passed in Washington, D.C., after the high court struck down its ban two years ago.

— Prohibits people from owning a gun if they were convicted of a violent crime, domestic violence or two or more convictions for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Residents convicted of a gun offense would have to register with the police department.

— Calls for the police department to maintain a registry of every handgun owner in the city, with the names and addresses to be made available to police officers, firefighters and other emergency responders.

Those who already have handguns in the city — which has been illegal since the city's ban was approved 28

years ago — would have 90 days to register those weapons, according to the proposed ordinance.

Residents convicted of violating the city's ordinance can face a fine up to $5,000 and be locked up for as long as 90 days for a first offense and a fine of up to $10,000 and as long as six months behind bars for subsequent convictions.

Though Monday's Supreme Court ruling did not specifically strike down Chicago's handgun ban, it ordered a federal appeals court to reconsider its ruling.

Mayor Richard Daley moved quickly to get a new ordinance in place and has indicated that he expects legal challenges to the new restrictions.

Meanwhile, a northwestern Wisconsin prosecutor said he won't prosecute a range of state weapon violations in light of the Supreme Court ruling.

Jackson County District Attorney Gerald R. Fox said in a statement he will no longer prosecute people for carrying uncased or loaded guns in vehicles, carrying concealed weapons, carrying firearms in public buildings or taverns or carrying switchblades and butterfly knives.

Fox said the Supreme Court ruling invalidated Wisconsin's laws against those practices.

Peter Hamm, a spokesman for the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, said Fox is inviting crime into Jackson County and if he won't enforce the state's laws he should be removed from office.

In Debate Over Gun-Carry Laws, Critics Are Quick to Shoot Down the Facts

People walking the streets armed with guns must be dangerous, right? A newly revised study by the Brady Campaign and the Violence Policy Center found that even those individuals who have legally obtained permits to carry concealed handguns are extremely dangerous. With millions of Americans already having been issued such permits from the various states, this is an important issue.

The gun control organizations have frequently made these claims in the press, and Dennis Henigan, the vice president of the Brady Campaign, will likely make these claims again when he and I appear on John Stossel’s FoxBusiness show today. But the gun control advocates inaccurately describe many shooting cases, choosing to ignore that the majority of incidents involve people properly defending themselves.

Over the past three years, the number of active permit holders in the United States has gone from about 5 million to more than 6.2 million today. The numbers issued by the state regulatory agencies show time after time that these permit holders abide by the law.

Take Florida, which currently has the most concealed handgun permit holders in the country and is one of the two most populous states with right-to-carry laws. Between Oct. 1, 1987, and May 31 this year, permits had been issued to 1.8 million people. On average, the permits had been held for quite a long time, well over 10 years. For all those individuals across the more than 22 years of legal carry, there were only 167 cases where the permit was revoked for a firearms related violation, or about 0.01 percent of permit holders. While the state doesn't provide a precise breakdown of the reason for those revocations, the vast majority were apparently for people who accidentally carried their concealed handgun into a gun-free zone, such as an airport or school.

Throughout the past 29 months, beginning January 2008, only three additional permit holders have had their permit revoked for a firearms-related violation. With more than 729,000 active permit holders, that is an annual revocation rate of 0.00017 percent.

In sharp contrast, the Brady Campaign and the Violence Policy Center portray Florida as Ground Zero for problems with concealed handgun permit holders. They boldly assert that 17 Florida permit holders have "killed" people with their guns over the past three years and that this one state by itself accounts for 17 of the 96 "killer" permit holders nationwide. The other 79 cases are scattered across 26 other states, with no other state accounting for more than 10 cases. Florida is also said to account for 2 of the 7 cases where permit holders are said to have killed law enforcement officers.

The Associated Press articles by Erik Schelzig and by Jim Abrams have given extensive, uncritical coverage to these claims. Members of the gun control organizations have made these claims unchallenged on such places as Fox News and on the Huffington Post (e.g., here and here).

So what is the evidence? The gun control groups don't actually point to actual court cases. They look at news stories and selectively report what is reported in those stories. For Florida, there are eleven "pending cases." The gun control groups assume that anyone involved in a shooting will be convicted. Indeed, in 7 of the 11 cases no one was even charged with a crime. Three cases involved suicides, and three had convictions for some type of offense. (See this link for a detailed presentation of sources.)

But there is something that the gun control advocates conveniently omit: When a permit holder uses a gun defensively and kills an attacker in a public place, the police often arrest them. Typically, he will later be released, but the police must first investigate what happened. The police can’t just take the shooter's word for it that they used the gun defensively.

Take the four pending cases where charges were filed, two of which involved the "killing" of law enforcement.

-- Humberto Delgado, Jr. was charged with the death of a police officer. Delgado obviously engaged in a horrible crime, but there is one major problem with the stories as presented by the gun control groups. He also was charged with carrying a concealed firearm. If he had a concealed handgun permit, he obviously couldn't have been charged with this crime. Delgado was just your typical criminal, who didn't have a permit, who killed a police officer.

-- James Wonder was charged with the death of an off-duty Customs and Border Protection Agent Donald Pettit. Pettit is said to have engaged in road rage against Wonder and then followed Wonder's car into a Post Office parking lot solely to continue harassing Wonder. Pettit had over shot the parking lot and had to circle back to go into it. He had no intention to do business with either the Post Office or any other nearby business. Pettit was clearly the aggressor in the situation. The Sun-Sentinel newspaper wrote on August 29, 2008: "local lawyers said [Wonder] may be able to make a strong claim under Florida law that he was within his rights to shoot Pettit." One measure of the severity of the case is that Wonder was released on a very minimal bond of $10,000. Neither the Brady Campaign nor the Violence Policy Center noted these points in their discussion of the case.

-- Gabriel Mobley shot two people outside a bar, and the gun control groups’ discussions fail to mention the defensive nature of Mobley's actions. A friend of Mobley's had an argument with two other men in a bar. Mr. Mobley separated the men, but the two waited outside and Mobley's lawyer, Richard Della Ferra, told me that they pounced on Mobley and his friend as soon as they left the bar. Witnesses saw one of the two attackers throw a punch that shattered the friend's eye socket. Mobley says that he shot when he thought one of the two men was reaching for a weapon, and police found the DNA of one of the men on a steak knife at the scene.

-- On January 7, 2008, Adam Hill was accused of accidentally firing his gun, the bullet fatally striking a friend while the friend had visited Hill to use his washing machine. Since the case has yet to go to trial, the law office that is representing Hill was unwilling to discuss the case, but they did say that the news articles did not accurately represent what had happened in the case. The law office representing Hill in his legal case emphasized to me in a telephone discussion that news articles on these cases can be quite misleading because defense lawyers warn their clients not to talk to others about their case, including the press.

Two of the three convictions in Florida are quite different than what gun control groups represent. One involved a boyfriend who accidentally shot his girlfriend when he was showing her how to use a gun in her home. There was no evidence of arguing or any disagreement. In another case, the issue was whether the permit holder had done enough to avoid the confrontation. A convicted felon confronted the permit holder. According to newspaper accounts, even the prosecutor acknowledged: “Kallenbach was in some way defending himself during an escalating altercation between the men caught on the security video” and that "People can look at that tape and interpret it two or three different ways.”

While this discussion focuses on Florida, the just released third edition of More Guns, Less Crime provides a detailed analysis for all states from 1990 to July 1, 2008. In state after state, permit holders are extremely law-abiding. In Arizona, there were 99,370 active permits as of December 1, 2007. During 2007, 33 permits were revoked for any reason -- a 0.03 percent rate. In Texas, there were 288,909 active permit holders. Of these, 160 were convicted of either a misdemeanor or a felony, a rate of 0.05 percent. That is about one-seventh the conviction rate in the general adult population, and the convictions among permit holders are for much less serious offenses.

I went to some other cases from the gun control groups after July 1, 2008. In two of the other five killings involving law-enforcement, it also appears as if the person who fired a gun didn't have a concealed handgun permit. In one case, in Pennsylvania, Christina Korbe fired a shot killing a police officer when police raided her home. The police were serving an arrest warrant on her husband, and she didn't know it was the police who were breaking into her home, and she was concerned about the safety of her two children, ages 4 and 10.

The Brady Campaign and the Violence Policy Center evaluate the benefits of concealed handgun laws based solely on the claimed costs -- they don't compare the cases where defensive uses occurred to the bad things that happen, but only count what they claim are the bad cases. They ignore lots of amazing defensive gun use cases. But even more bizarrely, they count legitimate self-defense cases as bad events even when no charges are filed or the permit holder is later exonerated.

Concealed carry gains momentum in much of Illinois

Steve King, who operates the Belleville Indoor Shooting Range, says law abiding residents of East St. Louis and throughout Illinois should be able to legally carry concealed handguns to defend their lives. "Much of the crime in our area is in East St. Louis," said King, "This is not meant to be derogatory toward East St. Louis. There are many law abiding people there who have their backs against the wall who must risk breaking the law to protect themselves. They should be allowed to protect themselves." And some top metro east lawmen agree. They urge that a law be adopted in Illinois to make it legal for qualified persons to pack a handgun. Illinois and Wisconsin are the only two states to entirely ban concealed firearms.

Obama: The Most Incompetent and Dangerous President Ever!

OBAMA AS MESSIAH

In a little more than 18 months, President Obama has managed to destroy America’s reputation around the world by damaging relationships with our traditional allies and making America appear as a weak and appeasing beggar to some of the most totalitarian and evil regimes in the world.

Meanwhile, his destructive obsession with restructuring the U.S. economy to mirror the socialist systems of Europe and several Third World nations are doing such long-term damage to our future prosperity that today’s college-age generation, (Gen Y or the Millennial Generation-born between the early 1980s-late 1990s), will have a less prosperous lifestyle and far fewer opportunities for growth than the previous generation had.

No longer are today’s older generations, including Generation X (born between 1965 -1980) making sacrifices in the hope that their offspring will be able to have a better life than the current one we inherited from our parents and grandparents. For the first time in American history, an older generation will not be leaving an even more prosperous America to its successor.

During the great “Obama Apology for America” tour, the president’s continual criticism of the nation he “leads” and his actions of cutting America down to size as just “another standard player” on the world stage were a bold statement to the international community about the contempt he holds for the United States. He has gone to the capitals of foreign nations, many of them hostile to the U.S., to grovel and bow before tyrant kings and dictators. Within weeks of assuming the Oval Office, Obama went to great pains in explaining how America is nothing exceptional, but simply an equal to all other nations, including the likes of countries such as Bangladesh, Yemen and Lebanon.

Starting with his first “official” televised interview, granted to the Islamic television network Al Jazeera, Obama has taken great pains to explain to Muslim audiences that America is “not a Christian nation,” and that Americans have so many Muslims that we are actually more of an “Islamic nation.” He has told audiences, from Cairo to Istanbul, that America has only become the powerhouse it is because Americans built this nation based upon the “tradition and culture” of the past “great Islamic” civilization. In churning out this amazing ditty to his Muslim audiences, he forgot to mention that America had actually built its representative republican form of government based on the principles as founded in the Roman Republic, which was a) European, b) eventually Christian, and c) at least 500 years or more before Mohammad (Islam’s founder) was even conceived in the Arabian peninsula.

Appeasing his friends in the Islamic world to the fullest extent, Obama has openly declared his outright hostility and anti-Semitism to the State of Israel. Making continual overtures to all the Muslim terrorist nations and organizations, many who carry an “official” policy of Israel’s destruction in their charters, Obama has simultaneously treated the Jewish state as a pariah nation. His undiplomatic and hostile treatment of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a recent visit to the White House clearly demonstrated where this president’s loyalties lie.

Obama has even supported, for the first time, a UN resolution singling out Israeli ambiguity about its nuclear weapon reserves. This has been an issue that no other previous president has touched, as it has always been understood that Israel, being small and surrounded by enemies on all sides, needs to keep this strategic policy of nuclear ambiguity in place as deterrence to its neighbors. However, Obama has decided it is time to strip Israel of a defense upon which its very survival as a nation rests. The world knows Israel would never use nuclear weapons except defensively, and they know the UN is a hotbed of Islamic bloc nations with hostile intentions for Israel. Yet Obama has put the United States on the side of aggressor, terrorist nations by allowing this historic condemnation to go through.

In further evidence of his anti-Israel policies, Obama has openly chastised the Jewish state for its “crime” of defending itself via a legal blockade of Gaza, the Hamas-run terrorist hotbed south of Israel’s border. Gaza was part of the Democrat’s cherished “land-for-peace” deals in the Bill Clinton 1990s in which Israel surrendered defensive buffer zones against hostile neighbors to create a “Palestinian” state, in exchange for “Palestine” to drop its “destruction of Israel” policies and live in peace next door to the Jewish state.

Israel’s reward for this good-faith gesture has been a rabid Islamist population that immediately elected Hamas as the head of its government. Gaza is now administered by a terrorist organization with a charter to destroy Israel.

Additionally, Israel has reaped the benefits of “land-for-peace” in the form of Israeli citizens being kidnapped at the border, suicide bombers blowing Israeli civilians to bits as they peacefully go about their daily lives, and thousands of explosive rockets, launched from Gaza territory, raining down on the homes of Israeli civilians residing in Israel-proper.

When Islamist “humanitarian” groups continue to try and bring weapons and military supplies under the guise of “humanitarian aid” directly to Gaza, in defiance of Israel’s request that all ships go to Israel for unloading of all humanitarian aid that Israel will deliver to Gaza itself, the Jewish state has no choice but to blockade Gaza to prevent further terrorist attacks. Despite the fact that these “humanitarian groups” are openly declaring their main purpose is to provoke Israel and interfere in running the blockade, rather than in delivering true “humanitarian aid” to Gaza, Israel has had to resort to boarding ships and stopping weapons trafficking.

Each time Israel has tried to aggressively defend itself against Hamas, whether by militarily entering Gaza to weed out the terrorists or by closing the border, the UN and “world community” has organized protests and condemnations against Israel. The United States has remained the only nation to defend Israel, recognizing that the Jewish state is a democratic, peaceful nation, friend and ally in the region.

All past U.S. presidents have stood by Israel, even Carter and Clinton. The exception is President Barak Hussein Obama, who has openly chastised Israel for defending itself and has withheld U.S. support of Israel in her ongoing dispute with the “Palestinians.” There is no doubt that Israel has been completely abandoned by Obama’s America, as this president is much more sympathetic to the likes of Hamas’ terrorists rather than a democratic Israel. He almost seems intent on pulling the rug out from under the Jewish state and giving Israel a rope with which to hang itself.

However, Obama has not only thrown Israel to the wolves, he has also completely disregarded our other major allies, such as Britain, by never missing an opportunity to snub or insult the Brits.

While Obama is destroying American influence and goodwill with its friends and allies, he is courting “dialogue” with the likes of the Islamic terrorists and Communist cults-of-personalities. Obama’s open, disgusting and submissive overtures to the likes of Iran for a “face-to-face talk” about how Iran should quit trying to join the nuclear club have fallen on deaf ears. Each time Obama has tried to get a meeting with Iranian “President” Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Tehran has reciprocated with more insults and more statements of destroying Israel.

Likewise for North Korea and its sinister dictator, Kim Jong Il, who have realized that this president is nothing but a weak paper tiger, totally dependent on high rhetoric and low on an actual spine to stand up to aggression. Hence North Koreas bold act of war earlier last month, when a North Korean sub torpedoed and sunk a South Korean naval vessel in South Korean waters. Kim Jong Il, like all dictators and totalitarians the world over, know that Obama will do nothing to stop them beyond using a few teleprompter words to “condemn” their actions.

While having created a power vacuum in a dangerous world by his total lack of spine and uninspiring “leadership,” Obama has presided over the highest deficit spending in the nation’s history. In just 18 months, this administration has outspent all previous presidents combined! While the nation has gone from 8% unemployment at the time of former President Bush’s departure to 10% or more while under Obama’s watch, this administration has simply ignored the economy in its blind-eyed approach to ramming an unwanted, nationalized and socialized health care law into being.

While the U.S. states bordering Mexico have pleaded for Obama to clamp down on illegal immigration, his regime has instead ignored the cries for help to work on more “important issues” such as making sure that gays and lesbians can openly serve in the military. When those states were ignored by Obama, they took matters into their own hands, only to be demonized by their “president” as “racists and bigots” who are propagating an illegal activity against “undocumented workers.” Just to make sure the border states understood where Obama’s loyalties lie, he invited Mexican President Calderon to the White House for a state dinner, giving the Mexican president an opportunity to dictate that Americans must quit defending the border and that it is the Americans, and especially Arizonans, who are the real criminals here.

In light of the British Petroleum (BP) oil rig disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, Obama has been clueless. He ignored the problem for almost 44 days, and then only addressed the issue after members of his own political party pressured him to at least act like he was concerned about the people of the Gulf coast. Over the course of the past two weeks, in what is arguably the worst disaster ever to hit the United States, this president has simply resorted to bullying BP with ultimatums and threats as the company works around the clock to literally stop the well. While BP actually attempts to work on stopping the disaster, Obama stands at a podium pointing an accusing finger at the company, while doing nothing to assist in aiding the beleaguered states whose economies and industries are threatened by the coming onslaught of oil contamination on the shores.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindall, who time and again has begged the Obama administration to allow the state to dredge and build artificial sand barriers out in the Gulf to absorb the coming oil and thus save the coastline from disaster. All of these requests by Jindall, a Republican, were simply ignored and dismissed by Team Obama. Yet this president demands that it is the federal government who is in charge of “getting that damned hole plugged.” After all the accusations Obama made against Bush’s handling of Katrina on the campaign trail, he should be ashamed of himself. His absolute mishandling of the crisis is light years beyond the mismanagement that Bush was accused of, making Obama a far more incompetent crisis manager.

Obama has managed to do the impossible. He has managed to make even Jimmy Carter look like a good president. His total lack of competence, diplomatic skills and understanding of the realities of the world, coupled with his total lack of loyalty to the country he “serves” and his disdain for all things American while supporting everything from terrorist dictatorships to illegal aliens, makes this radical in the White House not only the most incompetent president in the nation’s history, but also one of the most dangerous.
